About

Academy of the Holy Names is a Catholic independent school founded in 1881 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, sited on a 19-acre campus at 3319 Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa overlooking Hillsborough Bay. The school is coeducational from PK through Grade 8 and an all-girls college-preparatory program from Grades 9-12. AP courses are offered in the Upper School alongside dedicated college counseling. Visual and performing arts and athletics programs operate at both middle- and high-school levels. The Academy is accredited by Cognia, the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), the Florida Catholic Conference, and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC).
