The Churchill School and Center

The Churchill School and Center is a K-12 independent day school in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, founded in 1972 to serve students with language-based learning disabilities. Churchill enrolls roughly 425 students who have average to superior cognitive ability and diagnosed learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD. The program combines a college-preparatory curriculum with embedded speech-language services, Orton-Gillingham-based reading instruction, and small classes with specialized teachers. The Center provides outreach, professional development, and parent education on learning differences. Churchill is accredited by NYSAIS and approved by the New York State Education Department.
